during the Conference.

Secretariat
The secretariat will be open throughout the meeting sessions.

Official language
English is the official language of the meeting; no simultaneous translation will be available.

Attendance certificate
Registered participants will receive, on request, an attendance certificate at the end of the
Congress.

Travel documents
Citizens of the European Union and some other European countries may enter Italy with an identity card. For many countries, including the United States, a valid passport is sufficient. Citizens of other countries, however, may have to apply for a visa and should therefore contact an Italian Consulate or travel agencies in their home country for further information. In some countries visas will be issued upon presentation of a letter of invitation from the
Conference Steering Committee. Conference attendee wishing to avail themselves of this faculty should contact the
Conference Secretariat as soon as possible to request the necessary invitation.

Electricity supply
Voltage in Italy is 220 V. A transformer is needed for electrical and electronic equipment using different voltage.

Climate
The weather in Sicily in October-November is usually temperate, with
temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C.

Banking and currency exchange
The Italian currency is the Euro. Currency may be exchanged within the
airport and all major banks. Banks are generally open from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to
1.00 p.m.
