5th EBHC International Conference

Thanks to...

Dear Friends,

thanks to your “never-ending faith” in GIMBE^® and its staff, once again we had a great Conference!

Sicilian land with its perfumes, colours, food and wines always creates the “ideal frame” for the Conference.

While leaving Taormina, we hope you take home in your (not lost) luggage the unforgettable days we spent together.

I am happy and proud of our “worldwide family” that – other than developing and spreading EBHC know-how & knowledge – looks forward to meeting, dining, wining, laughing and dancing.

Well, thank you for being part of this “terrific EBHC group”, from all five continents.

So now, it is time to launch a call for interest to the rest of the planets and, why not,… outside the Solar System!

Dear Sicily EBHC friends and colleagues,
It was a great pleasure to meet you in Sicily. I echo Nino's comments that the meeting was a great success: excellent presentations, fruitful networking, and many new friends from all corners of the world. Thank-you for sharing your ideas with me. I have returned to Canada fully energized for applying best evidence in my practice. I hope you feel the same way.
I would be happy to hear from you if you learned something tangible that you plan to implement in your practice, in your teaching, or in your research. I would also be happy to hear from you regarding what went very well, and what could have been better. This will help us in planning for 2011.
Of course, another very different type of culmination of the meeting was the food fight, led by our fearless leader RAMBO (aka Nino, and hardly recognizable after donning a bandana for disguise), and the various cultural styles of singing and dancing thereafter (you know who you are!). Now I know why they suggested it was for "only the brave".
Many thanks to Nino, the whole GIMBE^® team for a seamless meeting. You and the team are very well organized and delightful to work with.
Many thanks, too, to the steering committee (Paul Glasziou, Ayman Afify, Lubna Al-Ansary, Jeff Andrews, Atto Billio, Jose Emparanza, Madelon Finkel, Janet Harris, Martin Than, and Julie Tilson) for your tireless commitment to the planning over the past year.
